Comparison of the efficacy of Shuertai and MEBO in treatment of burn wounds

Objective To compare clinical efficacy of Shuertai and MEBO in treatment of burn wounds.Methods 120 burn patients were randomly divided into observation group and control group with 60 cases in each group. The control group smear with MEBO, the observation group were treated with Shuertai external application.Clinical efficacy,wound healing time and wound infection rates were compared between groups. Results The observation group excellence rate was 75.0%(45/60) ,the control group was 50.0%(30/60) ,the difference was statistically significant(x2=8.00,P＜0.01) ;the total effective rate in observation group was 98.3%(59/60) ,the control group was 95.0%(57/60) ,the difference was not statistically significant(x2 =0.26,P＞0.05);wound healing time of the observation group was significantly shorter than the control group, wound infection rate was significantly lower than the control group, the difference was all statistically significant (P＜0.05). Conclusion Compared with MEBO,Shuertai has a significant effect,faster healing time,infection rate,worthy of clinical application. Key words: Shuertai;  MEBO;  Burns
