Основні свободи є підґрунтям справедливості та миру в світі і найкраще підтримуються, з одного боку, ефективною політичною демократією, а з іншого – спільним розумінням та дотриманням прав людини. Навчальна дисципліна «Захист прав людини і основоположних свобод в Європейському суді з прав людини» вивчає контрольний механізм Конвенції про захист прав людини і основоположних свобод – Європейський суд з прав людини. Розглянуто взаємозв’язок між Радою Європи, Конвенцією про захист прав людини і основоположних свобод та Європейським судом з прав людини як систему, яка є робочим прикладом регіонального механізму захисту прав людини. Деталізовані також деякі важливі права та свободи, затверджені Конвенцією про захист прав людини і основоположних свобод, а також вплив рішень Європейського суду з прав людини на інші судові органи. Educational discipline «Protection of Human Rights and Fundamental Freedoms in the European Court of Human Rights» is devoted to the study of the control mechanism Convention on Human Rights - European Court of Human Rights. The relationship between the Council of Europe, the Convention on Human Rights, and the European Court of Human Rights as a system that is also a working example of a regional human rights mechanism are revealed.
