Electronic banking is a major innovation in the field of banking. In present days, every form of banking service and transaction is performed through electronic means. Electronic banking is simply known as e-banking. E-banking is a product which is designed for the purposes of online banking that enables us to have easy access to our bank account. It is an efficient electronic service to access bank account quickly and to carry out online banking services, 24 hours a day, and 7 days a week. E-banking is the systems that enable financial institution customers, individuals or businesses, to access accounts, transact business, or obtain information on financial products and services through a public or private network, including the internet.Commercial banks in India have adopted initiatives such as e-banking. The objective of the paper is to examine benefits of e-banking, types of e-banking and the present scenario of electronic banking in India
