Abstract
The process of Brazilian blackout on November 10th,2009 was discribed.The main reasons causing this blackout were multiple accidents brought by extreme-weather,defects of protective relayings and incorrect order of security and stability control system.It was pointed out that lessons learned from the blackout by China's power grid operators are optimizing network structure,fining operation arrangement,completing relay protection,improving out-of-step separation and reinforcing black start.
