Cytology and brown planthopper resistance of backcross progenies from Oryza sativa-O. eichingeri

Abstract

Cytology of 415 BC_(2)F_(1) and BC_(1)F_(2) plants in crosses, Oryza sativa cv. 02428 vs. two accessions of O. eichingeri from Uganda, were studied. 155 monosomic alien addition lines and 184 introgression lines were identified. Further studies showed that 28 monosomic alien addition lines and 48 introgression lines were resistant to brown planthopper.
