Abstract

This paper analyses the floristic composition and floristic characteristics of Saur-tarbagatai mountains at the level of the families and genera. The main conclusions are as follows: the flora contains 1592 species of high plants in 477 genera of 87 families; the species distribute in a few families and genera on the one hand, and disperse in a large number of families and genera on the other hand; the 12 large families and the 26 large genera mainly have temperate characteristics; analysis of geographical elements of genera shows that the origins of the flora are diverse and the flora is typical temperate flora.
