Abstract

Mazongling Natural Reserve is one of the richest area of Dabie Mountains in woody plant flora. It contains 77 families, 194 genera, 524 species (including subspecies, varieties and form). Based on thorough and careful statistical analysis of families, genera and species, the results show that: there are abundant ancient, relict, rare and nearly exerminating plants; the temperate and subtropical elements of the woody flora have a dominant position; the floristic elements are in wide connection with the flora of the world; it is the area where East China, Central China and North China are convergent. The woody plant flora of Mazongling is situated in the flora of East China.
