Abstract
It takes courage to confront an institutional culture, engage one’s own dominant identities, and to acknowledge and address how we continue to invest in systems of oppression. It takes courage to be vulnerable with our colleagues, and supervisors must practice vulnerability and empathy to build strong relationships. Courage also creates opportunities for resilience and clarification of values, both of which lead to stronger organizations and supervisory relationships.
