Abstract
This paper deals with a survey on the trematode-fauna of the sea perch.Lateo-labrax japonicus (Cuvier et Valenciennes),along the coast of China Sea,from Huang Hai and Dong Hai,containing six species belonging to three different families, namely 1.Aeanthocolpidae:(1) Stepharwstomum gp.,2.Cryptogonimidae:(2) Biovarium cry-ptocotyle Yamaguti,1934,(3) Biovarium tsingtaoensis sp.nov.,(4) Biovarium schis-toleeithale sp.nov.,and 3.Acanthostomidae:(5) Terminoisocoelium laterolecithale gen.nov.ei sp.nov.,and (6) Sacculoesophagiphora bipapittosa gen.nov.et sp.nov.Among them B.cryptocotyle Yamaguti,1934 is a new record for China.Generic diagnosis of the new genera are mentioned and keys to the subfamilies of Isocoeliinae Price,1939 as well as the species of Biovarium Yamaguti,1934 are given in the Chinese text and the new species are tabulated in Table 1.Biovarium tsingtaoensis gp.nov.(fig.1)This species differs from the most closely related species B.lateolabracis Yamaguti,1958 by following features:(1) body longer in diameter,(2) both extremities blunt,(3) intestinal caeca longer, extending posteriorly behind the posterior testis,(4) cirrus wanting,(5) seminal receptacle present,(6) the distribution of the vitellaria and (7) the location of the genital pore.Biovarium schistolecithale gp.nov.(fig.2)This species differs from all the hitherto described species in having both lateral groups of vitellaria being separated anteriorly. The generic diagnosis of Biovarium Yamaguti,1934 should be emended as follows:(1) seminal receptacle present or absent,(2) genital pore opening into genito-acetabular pocket immediately in front of or far before aeetebulum, and (3) vitellaria dendritic or follicular, extending along caeca from testicular zone to pre-or post-acetabular zone where they are united or not across the median line.Terminoisocoelium laterolecithale gen.nov.et gp.nov.(fig.3) This species bears certain resemblance to Isocoelium Ozaki,1932 but it differs fundamentally in the terminal oral sucker,in the distribution and arrangement of the vitellaria,in the uterine loops reaching nearly the posterior extremity of the body. There is no doubt that it represents a distinct genus in the subfamily Isocoeliinae Price,1939.The name Terminoisocoelium laterolecithale gen.nov.et sp,nov.is suggested.Generic diagnosis:Acanthostomidae,Isocoeliinae.Body ribbon shaped, occulted, spiny. No circumoral spines.Oral sucker terminal.Acetabulum smaller than oral sucker.Pharynx developed.Oesophagus very short.Caeca terminating at posterior extremity symmetrically.Testes tandem,in median of posterior one-third of body.Genital pore median, opening far anterior to acetabulum.Ovary lobed, lying in posterior of mid-third of body.Vitellaria mostly extracaecal,in clusters, aggregated into two sets.Uterine loops intercaecal, and reaching posterior extremity.Excretory system Y-shaped,excretory arms united at intestinal fork and excretory vesicle tubular.Parasitic in stomach and intestine of marine fishes.Type species:Terminoisocoelium laterokcithale sp.nov.Sacculoesophagiphora bipapillosa gen.nov.et sp.nov.(fig.4) This species is characterized by the long sac-like oesophagus with two muscular papillae on the ventral lip of the oral sucker,in the presence of a cirrus sac enclosing a cirrus and the distribution of the vitellaria being separated from genus Anisocladium Looss,1902.Therefore,it is suggested as a new genus and named Sacculoesophagiphora bipapillosa gen.nov.et sp.nov.Generic diagnosis:Acanthostomidae,Anisoeladiinae.Body ribbon shaped, spiny.Oral sucker terminal.Oesophagus rather long and sac-like.Caeca terminating at posterior extremity.Acetabulum smaller than oral sucker, lying on a projection in posterior portion of anterior half of body.Testes tandem, lying in posterior half of body.Seminal vesicle long, tubular.Cirrus sac and cirrus present.Genital pore median of anterior border of acetabulum.Ovary pretesticular.Seminal receptacle rather large.Vitellaria follicular in cluster, between acetabulum and seminal receptacle.Uterine loops reaching posterior extremity.Ora small
