Abstract
Railroads are using more slab track (ballastless track) on their high speed lines. However, when various types of slab track are used on bridges, particular conditions must be considered. This article discusses the solutions which the designers have come up with to date, which still leave room for improvement, and the forms this might take are being demonstrated by various Rheda 2000 projects.
