Effect of fungi on the hatching rate of Achatina fulica eggs and detection of mycotoxins

Abstract
For this purpose, the inoculum for the infestation of sterilized sawdust was prepared separately from the pure strain of each of the mushrooms and the association of the mushrooms aged one week. Each entity was milled and mixed in an Erlenmeyer flask with 600 ml of sterile distilled water and stirred for one minute. For chromatography, the disinfected eggs were seeded on the individual strains, associated with two and three. The different strains were isolated from the breeding litter and incubation substrates of Achatina fulica eggs . HPLC has enabled the identification of mycotoxins from pure strains of cultivated fungi in the presence of Achatina fulica eggs.. After individual inoculation, the hatching rates we achieved ranged from 8.88% to 67.40%. These hatching rates are very low in the case of Aspergillus niger and quite high in the presence of Penicillium sp. Penicillium sp., Phoma sp. and Fusarium oxysporumresult in above average hatching rates. On the other hand, the rates obtained after the associations are between 5.18% and 53.32%. For mycotoxins, aflatoxins B1, G1, G2 and ochratoxin A were detected at the level of individual inoculations and aflatoxins only at the level of combinations at variable and relatively low levels. The mycotoxins produced act on the hatching rate of Achatina fulica eggs by reducing them considerably via fungi. Only the association Mucor sp.- Penicillium decumbensgives an hatching rate of 53.32% slightly above average and can be considered as a beneficial association for the eggs of Achatina fulica.
