Abstract
The variable rule of extrusion force and the change of microstructure and properties for homogenized AZ91 magnesium alloy in hot extrusion are investigated. The results show that the force decreases with the temperature increasing and the extrusion ratio and extrusion speed decreasing, and ultimate tensile strength increases with increment of temperature, extrusion ratio and extrusion speed. It also shows that homogenized AZ91 magnesium alloy has good forming ability by hot extrusion, and the extruded products have good mechanical properties, among which the tensile strength σb are between 310-340MPa,and elongation δ are between 10%-12%.
