Clinical Observation of 5-Fu and Valaciclovir Hydrochoride Treating Condyloma Acuminatum

Abstract
Objective To observe the effectiveness by the combination therapy of 5-Fu and valaciclovir hydrochoride treating condyloma acuminatum (CA). Methods 70 cases of CA were divided into two groups randomly, the patients in the 5-Fu and valaciclovir hydrochoride group were treated by the locally therapy of 5-Fu and were administered by valaciclovir hydrochoride, while the control group were treated by 5-Fu only, all the patients were followed. Results All the patients were cured, the recurrent rate of the 5-Fu and valaciclovir hydrochoride group was 7.50%, the control group was 26.67%, the difference was significant ( P 0.05). Conclusion The combination therapy of 5-Fu and valaciclovir hydrochoride is very effective and useful in the treatment of CA, and it can reduce the recurrent rate of CA.
