Abstract

The research advances in biology and control of Bactrocera (Bactrocera) dorsalis (Hendel)were reviewed in this paper. The influences of temperature, humidity, host plant, natural enemies on the development and population dynamics of the fruit fly were also evaluated. In order to suppress the population density to a certain degree, several countermeasures, such as quarantine, cleaning the orchard, releasing the parasitoids, trap and chemical control, were proposed in the control practise.
