Abstract
The oriental fruit fly,Bactrocera(Bactrocera) dorsalis(Hendel),which infects more than 250 species of fruits and vegetables,is a serious quarantine pest of fruits in tropical and subtropical countries and has caused enormous losses to agricultural production. There are a lot of factors affecting the population fluctuation. This paper reviews the effect of different environmental factors including, temperature, photophase, and humidity on the growth and development of Bactrocera(Bactrocera) dorsalis(Hendel),to get a more comprehensive understanding in the effect of different environmental factors on the growth and development of Bactrocera(Bactrocera) dorsalis(Hendel) and provide help of further control Bactrocera dorsalis.
