Abstract
OBJECTIVE To study the extraction process for ferulic acid in Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort.METHODS The powder of Chuanxiong was extracted by alkaline ethanol ,and the extrac t was concentrated ,purified, and then detemined by HPLC.RESULTS The yield of FA is 0.025%, the purity of FA is 98.98%.CONCLUSION The extraction process is simple, practicable and safe.
