Abstract
Objective To establish a extraction method of high purity ferulic acid in Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort.Methods Ferulic acid as marker was monitored by HPLC method to investigate the extraction method of ferulic acid in Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort.Results The optimum extraction composition was 95% alcohol.After the purification of macroporous absorption resin,the elution efficiency of ferulic acid was up to 80%,the amount of ferulic acid in total solidified extract was more than 25% when 50% ethanol was used as elution solvent.Conclusions This extraction and purification method of ferulic acid in Ligusticum chuanxiong Hort.can be applied to produce high purity ferulic acid,and the method is applicable in the industry production of ferulic acid.
