Clinical efficacy of Tongxinluo capsule and the effect on cerebral blood flow in patients with acute cerebral infarction

Objective To observe the therapeutic effect of Tongxinluo capsule on acute cerebral infarction and the effect on the patients' cerebral blood flow.Methods 90 patients with acute cerebral infarction were randomly divided into two groups.45 patients in treatment group were treated by Tongxinluo capsule combined with routine medicines;the other 45 patients were treated by routine medicines only. The effective rate after treatnment,the change of cerebral blood flow and neurological impairment score were observed for both groups.Results The total effective rate was 86.7% in treatment group,which was obviously superior to that(73.3%) in control group (P0.05). The neurological impairment score after treatment was(8.42±2.45),which was also significantly superior to that (12.45±2.64) in control group.The vascular pulsation index and vascular resistance index were significantly improved after treatment for both groups(P0.01),however,the improvement was more obvious in treatment group than that in control group (P0.05).Conclusion Tongxinluo capsule can increase the therapeutic effect on acute cerebral infarction,which can improve cerebral blood flow,with safe administration.
