Abstract
Xuelong is a early-maturity F1 hybrid of muskmelon developed by crossing new MX as female parent and ML as male parent. The fruit maturity stage is 37 d and the weight per fruit is 1.5 kg. The plant grows vigorously, and the fruit set well. The fruit is oval shape with white shin, and the shape index is 1.22. The pulp is light green, crisp and the thickness is 4.1 cm, and the sugar content is 16%. The yield is 3 100 kg/667 m2. The variety is resistant to blight and powdery mildew and suitable for protected cultivation of spring and autumn.
