The Spiritual Origin of Modern Chinese Aesthetics

From the late 19th century to the 1940's,a well-accomplished theoretical framework is established in modern chinese aesthetics,with emphasis on human well-being. Concerned about human existence,it foregrounds vigorous attitudes towards life,positive orientation in aesthetic education,inherent poetic inclination and a strong sense of cultural criticism. It bears inheritance to chinese aesthetic traditions and merges the aesthetic,cultural and artistic elements in chinese and western thoughts.
