Origin of the Initial [■] of Lateral Fricative in Puxian Dialect

In Fijian Chinese dialects,only Puxian dialect has the initial [■] of lateral voiceless fricative,which is the most important pronunciation characteristic to distinguish Puxian dialect from other Chinese Min dialects.This initial governs a lot of Chinese characters.According to the existing investigation on dialects,the initial [■] was ancient Baiyue's pronunciation root.For the first time,this paper brings out the new statement that the initial [■] in Puxian dialect should have homological relationship with She dialect spoken by Fujian minority.
