Abstract

Objective To investigate the sexual concept and sex education of the students in universities and provide cues for developing sex education in universities. Method the relative problems were investigated by handing out anonymous questionnaire to 800 students in 8 nonmedical universities. Result Their sexual knowledge mainly came from communication with classmates and friends,which occupies 61.0% of the total students,38% of the students received sexual knowledge from television and literature works,28.6% of the participants got sexual knowledge from schooling. They had an indifferent attitude to sexual safety.And 10% of them experienced the artificial abortion. They had less knowledge about the adaptive measures after unexpected gestation and the harm of the artificial abortion. Conclusion The normal development of students and sex relative problems need scientific systematic sex education. The most important ways of instructive sex education are as follows:the show of science and educational films,experts’ lectures and schooling.
