Abstract
TFP growth in China’s service industry shows a trend of decline in stages. The 80’s and 90’s of 20th century are two stages of TFP growth with significant differences, while in recent years the downward trend continues. With the progress of capital deepening in the service sector, the role of factor inputs for the services growth is quite obvious, while the contribution of TFP growth is gradually reduced. From a regional perspective, the TFP growth shows obvious difference among the three areas: the East,Central and West.In the stage analysis of the three great areas, the effects of technological progress and technical efficiency on the TFP growth show different characteristics.
