Analysis on Immunization Coverage Rate and Affecting Factors of Hepatitis B Vaccine Among Children in Gansu Province in 2001-2003

Objective A survey on immunization coverage rates and affecting factors of Hepatitis B(HB)vaccine in Gansu Province of China.Methods (3 791) children born in 2001-2003 were involved in the survey by PPS sampling to be detected coverage rate for HB vaccine.Results Qualified coverage rate for HB vaccine was 64%,the coverage rate of the children involved in this study was 57.5%,59.4%,and 76.5% in 2001-2003,respectively.Coverage rate for first dose of HB vaccine timely vaccination within 24 hours after birth of the children was 40.31%,the coverage in this study was 34.9%,38.3%,47.8% in 2001-2003,respectively.Conclusion Qualified coverage rate for three doses and first dose of HB vaccine timely vaccination within 24 hours after birth of the children were increased year by year.Different birth place,different living areas,the effect of social form mobilization,the acknowledge of HB,the services quality impact on the coverage rate for HB vaccine.
