Abstract
In order to set down a valid immune measure and strategy and raise further the immunization coverage rate of hepatitis B vaccine, we investigated the inoculation rate of HB vaccine and its affecting factors by using stratified multistage random cluster sampling method. 2?311 children born on July 1, 2000~June 30, 2001 and together with their mothers were chosen from l1 counties (district) of Datong city. The survey showed that in children, the whole course vaccination rate was 71.83%, the rates of timely vaccination both for first dose and whole course of HB vaccine were 18.22% and 15.84% respectively. Of the above three rates, the children born in hospitas were higher than that at home, the first babies were higher than that of the second or the latter babies, the children whose mothers have good knowledge about HB were higher than that with less knowledge, children with registered permanent residence were higher than that without registered permanent residence, the difference in each case was remarkable. Then we can draw a conclusion: children born in hospital is beneficial to HB vaccination, the parent's knowledge about HB vaccination directly affects the vaccine coverage rate, HB vaccination to over birth children and floating children is the important work hereafter.
