Abstract

Objective:To investigate the effect of embryo location after ultrasound-guided transfer on the outcomes of in vitro fertilization and embryo transfer(IVF-ET).Methods:The data of 232 cycles undergoing IVF-ET therapy(including ICSI) were analyzed retrospec-tively.All embryo transfer procedures were guided by trans-abdominal ultrasonography,and the distance between transfer gas-liquid drop and the fundus was measured;all the 232 cycles were divided into four groups:group A(≤1/5) 46 cycles,group B(1/5B≤2/5) 68 cycles,group C(2/5B≤3/5) 70 cycles,and group D(3/5) 48 cycles,based on the proportion of this distance to the uterus depth.Results:There was no statistical difference in age,duration of infertility,number of oocyte,number of zygote,number of high quality embryo,number of transferred embryo,thickness of endometrium,or ectopic pregnancy rate among the four groups.The embryo implantation rate was higher in group B and C than in group A and D(P0.05).The clinical pregnancy rate was statistically higher in group B and C than in group A and D(P0.05).Conclusion:The clinical pregnancy rate was higher when the embryo was transferred in the proportion of 1/5-3/5 to the endometrial cavity in IVF-ET cycles.
