Abstract

Objective: To evaluate the efficiency of a self-made gargle for radioactive induced oral mucositis. Methods: 172 patients with head-neck tumor were randomized into the treatment group using the self-made gargle and the control group using Ddbell's Solution after the appearance of radioactive induced oral mucositis. Results: The efficiency of the self-made gargle was significantly greater than Ddbell's Solution with the response rate 100%.Conclusion: The self-made gargle is good at controning pain and low price, easily made,no side effects.I think the self-made gargle may be promoted for oral mucositis induced by radiotherapy.
