Objective:Peptic ulcer is a common disease with high frequency.Proton pump inhibitors are the most powerful drugs in inhibiting gastric acid secretion.The current status and prospect of the market of proton pump inhibitors have attracted more and more people.Methods:The market of proton pump inhibitors produced in Yangtze River Area was investigated in recent years.Shanghai,Hangzhou,Nanjing,Wuhan,Chengdu and Chongqing were selected as sample cities.The medication amount of proton pump inhibitors was investigated.The sort,share,rate and clinical efficacy of proton pump inhibitors were recorded.Results:Omeprazole,pantoprazole,esomeprazole,rabeprazole and lansoprazole were most frequently used.Among them,omeprazole ranked first,and the second was pantoprazole.Conclusion:Proton pump inhibitor market has a good prospect.
