Empirical Relationship between Tourism Development and Economic Growth in Gansu Province

Using the empirical analysis cointegration and Granger Causality Test methods,this paper analyzed the relationship between the development of tourism and economic growth in Gansu Province during 1997-2012.The results showed that domestic tourism revenue and economic growth was cointegrated in Gansu.And,there was a dynamic equilibrium between domestic tourism revenue and economic growth in Gansu Province.However,inbound tourism revenue in Gansu Province and the economic growth was not cointegrated.There was the presence of a one-way causal relationship between economic growth and domestic tourism revenue in Gansu Province.
