Abstract
October 2019 will see the inauguration of an IEEE Historic Milestone recognizing the invention and demonstration of a radar by Christian H€ulsmeyer, in Germany in 1904. The IEEE History Committee voted to recommend a milestone proposal that was approved by the IEEE Board of Directors during its June 2019 meeting. The ceremonial inauguration of the plaque will take place on The IEEE Historic Milestone program marks significant developments in the history of electrical, electronic, and computer engineering.
