Abstract
Abstract The title compounds (I) react in aqueous solution with SO·‐ 4 with nearly diffusion‐controlled rates and with Br·‐ 2 with rate constants close to ca. 5·107 M‐1 s‐1 The resulting radical cations have pKa values of 3.9 ((Ia), (Ib)) and 4.7 ((Ic)), so that at pH 7 the products of one‐electron oxidation are neutral radicals, formed by deprotonation.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
A contribution statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
Method details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Findings are not separately available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Limitations are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
Application details are not available in the OpenAlex metadata.
