The report on karyotypes of Plantago lessingii and Plantago minuta

Abstract

The Karyotypes formula of plantago lessingii Fisch. et Mey and P. minuta isreported. K(2n)=12=10m+2sm, K(2n)=8m+2sm+2st, and Karyotype 2A type, composition of relative length of chromosomes: 2n=2L+4M2+4SM1+2S1, 2n=6M2+6M1. The total length of chromosomes are 30.6 and 29.8 respectively. Both are conposed of 12 pairs of chromosomes.
