Abstract

This article provides an overview of the Los Angeles, California, area's expansion of its transit resources with the Gold Line Eastside Extension and the EXPO line. The 2 light rail projects are forecast to open in late 2009 and mid-2010, respectively, and will head in opposite directions from downtown Los Angeles, adding 15 miles to produce almost 90 miles total for the rail transit network.
