Abstract
The peroxidase (POD) isozymes in eleven Medicago sativa types and eleven Medicago ruthenica types were analysed and compared using polylamide gel electrophoresis technique. It showed differences in the number of POD isozyme bands and the activity of POD isozyme in different types of M. sativa and M. ruthenica. Relativa mobility tends towards the same whereas POD isozymes in five types of M. sativa came from northwest region of Shandong Provice and two types of M. ruthenica came from east region of Inner Mongolia are siniliar.
