Simulation of Control System for Traction Electric Motors Control of Subway Cars

Abstract

The article describes a model of a control system for traction motors for a metro power supply system. The model has been developed as the subsystem of the underground electrical power supply system. As the model had being developed, design factors of electric motors had been taken into account. Electric motors load calculation had also been made and then the simulation was developed. The subsystem model of electric motor starting and brake makes using of all its power settings possible. The examination of the model led to receiving of oscillograms of the motor starting and brake. With the results of graphics the conclusions about model adequacy were made and recommendations for model development were given.
