We observe the city through a satellite image, at first glance we notice that the public space encompassed in the streets, streets, avenues, places ... etc. it organizes its, shapes its, rules it gives its a reading, it is the cause and the consequence in its creation, its growth, its modeling and its remodeling. Interested by the use of public space and especially the public place is not today’s concern, whose architects, town planners and even sociologists have raised the alarm before the loss of the notion from the public place of the contemporary city. The place is emptied of its contents, deprived of its role of major space, of the decoration, the place is only a nominative notion; this name is distributed at the whim of the news to any free place, to commemorate a hero, an event ... in all this, the place, what is it? A place, a function, a void, a form? This article aims to find out what is the most important factor making the public places of the arid cities more frequented and used more and more, means to look for how and in what way can arrived to a high intensity of the use of these places.
