Abstract
The data on per cent dead hearts due to rice yellow stem borer in different insecticidal treatment were recorded on 3, 7 and 10 days after first and second spray revealed significant differences at each level. The minimum dead hearths were recorded in fipronil 0.3 G (T2), followed by spinosad 45 SC (T3). The other treatments viz., profenophos 50 EC (T1) and cartap hydrochloride (T4) were at par but showed significantly lower damage than control.
