Abstract
The concept of rule of law has long been studied for the scholars around the world. This concept brings enlightenment to strengthen the power of state according to the modern principles of states such as the limitation of power, equality before the law, and protection of human rights. This article studies on the relation between rule of law and human rights. In addition, rule of law describes that the state governed by law and law must be corrected by human rights standards and principles. However, rule of law has long been recognized as a key element to uphold human rights. Key Words: rule of law, human rights
