Formal, non-formal and informal learning and education

The essence and meaning of formal, non-formal and informal educational activities of adults, within integral conception of lifelong education are considered in this article. Author guiding thought in this article is that formal, non-formal and informal learning and education are equal forms of adult learning, which is completely in compliance with actualization and affirmation to the idea of learning society as an educational strategy both for present and future. These forms of education are not observed and understood separately, especially because it is difficult to separate them in practice. Precisely, we can find the elements of two or all three forms mentioned above in many educational activities, which is the evidence of interdependence of formal, non-formal and informal education and contemporary andragogical literature points that out.
