Abstract

Performance analysis of a novel apodization profile for uniform fiber Bragg grating is investigated. Transfer matrix method is used to solve coupled-mode-equations to simulate spectral characteristics of apodized fiber Bragg gratings. Proposed profile shows optimum optical characteristics results of fiber Bragg grating.
