Abstract

Time synchronization is one of the vital technologies of WSNs. Three classes of time synchronization technologies were summarized in this article: traditional time synchronization technique, cooperation time synchronization technique and consensus time synchronization technique. The synchronization mechanism of the above-mentioned time synchronization methods were introduced, and their advantages and disadvantages were discussed in this paper. This paper also pointed out the research trends in time synchronization of WSNs.
