Abstract

Objective:To study the changes of hepatic function and enzymogram in patients with acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning. Methods:Blood samples were taken for the determination of serum hepatic function, enzymogram in 46 patients with acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning within 20 h after intoxication and at the end of treatment. The results were compared with the control group(n=40).Results:Compared with the control group,in the poisoning cases, the total protein and the albumin(P0.05)decreased strikingly. For the mild and moderate cases, there were no significant difference in the total bilirubin(TBIL),direct bilirubin(DBIL),aspartate aminotransferase(AST),γ-glutamyl transferase(GGT)and alkaline phosphatase(ALP).In some severe cases, the alanine transaminase(ALT),AST levels elevated slightly(P0.05).For severe cases, there was no significant difference in TBIL,DBIL,GGTand ALP.Conclusion:There are changes of hepatic function impairment in some severe patients with acute organophosphorus pesticide poisoning, the changes are reversible.
