Abstract
Total 86 SSR primers located at 12 chromosomes in rice, which were closely linked with blast resistance genes, were selected to analyze the genetic diversity of 30 blast resistant rice materials. The results indicated that 19 SSR markers performed polymorphism in the 30 materials. The results of cluster analysis by UPGMA method showed that 30 materials could be clustered into six groups which reflected that those tested materials had low similarity in resistance inheritance and large variation in genetic background. The field resistance performance of those materials was basically consistent with the results of cluster analysis and genetic relationship was basically coincided, which showed that it was reliable to use SSR markers to analyze genetic basis of rice. The experiment provided theoretical basis both for the use of genetic diversity of the 30 materials and for breeding of new blast resistant rice varieties.
