Abstract

Objective: To explore the values of CA199,CEA,and CA242 single or combined detection on clinical diagnosis for patients with pancreatic cancer. Methods: Serum tumor markers CA199,CEA,and CA242 of 96 patients with pancreatic cancer,133 patients with pancreatitis, and 1400 health examinates as the control group. Results: The levels of CA199,CEA,and CA242 in patients with pancreatic cancer were significantly higher than those in patients with pancreatitis and the control group( P < 0. 05). The sensitivity of CA199 alone was the highest in the four tumor markers for the patients with pancreatic cancer( 94. 6%). The specificity of combined detection of CA199+ CEA + CA242 was the highest( 98. 9%). Conclusion: Single detection of CA199 could improve the diagnostic sensitivity, and combined detection of tumor markers CA199 + CEA + CA242 could improve the diagnostic specificity.
