Abstract Thirty-five 6-inch-tall Poinsettia plants planted in 4 inch plastic pots were grown in a whitefly infested (97% Greenhouse Whitefly and 3% Sweetpotato Whitefly) greenhouse at the Pesticide Research Center, Michigan State University. Plants were obtained free of whitefly on 18 Aug. Plants were sprayed to runoff on 26 Aug, 2 Sep, and 9 Sep with a handheld R&D CO2 sprayer with an 8008 nozzle at 20 psi. Each treatment was replicated 5 times. Postcounts were made on 23 Sep by collecting 4 leaves from each plant and counting the no. of whitefly larvae on the underside of each leaf with a dissecting microscope.
