Abstract

A new plasmid pSGL1 was found in antitumor antibiotic C-1027 producing strain Streptomyces globisporus. The molecular weight of this plasmid is 7.40Kb.We have isolated plasmid pSGLl using Katz’s method. The experiment of digestion using single restriction endonuclease showed that PvuⅡ, PstⅠ, XbaⅠ, XhoⅠ and KpnⅠ have a unique site respectively in plasmid pSGLl, Sma1 cut the plasmid into 2 fragments, SalⅠ and BamHⅠ cut the plasmid into4fragments respectively,EcoRⅠ,HindⅢ, BgⅢ and PvuI haven’t any site in the plasmid. The restriction endonuclease map of plasmid pSGLl has been constructed by a series of double enzyme digestion.
