Abstract

Earnings from Australia's commodity exports are forecast to rise to around $93.4 billion in 2004-05, compared with $82.1 billion on 2003-04. The value of farm exports is forecast to increase by 6 per cent to around $26.7 billion in 2004-05. Export earnings from mineral resources are forecast to increase by almost 19 per cent to $63.0 billion in 2004-05. The net value of farm production is forecast to decline by 16 per cent to $5.0 billion in 2004-05. The volume of Australian mine production is forecast to rise by 2.1 per cent in 2004-05.
