Abstract

Purpose To discuss the relevance of pathological which is a new evaluation system of IgA nephropathy and the previous evaluation system, for deepening the understanding of the new evaluation criteria. Methods The pathological data of 113 patients with primary IgA nephropathy diagnosed by renal biopsy were evaluated by modified HS Lee grading standards and Oxford pathological type. Results There was correlation between IgA nephropathy Oxford pathological type and modified HS Lee grading standards(P0.05).Conclusions Oxford pathological classification of IgA nephropathy not only inherits the advantages of the previous evaluation criteria, but also evaluates the pathological data more comprehensively. However, there are still some limitations of the new evaluation criteria needed to be further improved and tested by large-scale research.
