Abstract

Integrated passenger transport represents a logistic platform for optimal management of the population mobility using public transport. The population mobility is becoming more and more difficult first of all because of uncontrolled growth of individual road transport, particularly in the area of cities and city rings. Integrated passenger transport enables optimal meeting of the transport demand and supply and thus represents sustainable traffic system from the aspect of economy, ecology, and physical planning. The paper presents the characteristics of integrated passenger transport, then the model of logistic integrated passenger transport and the case study of integrated passenger transport in the City of Varaždin.
