Abstract
The European Union published a new White Paper in 2011 - Roadmap to a Single European Transport Area where a number of initiatives directed the development of passenger transport in the direction of application of an integrated passenger public system. Of course, this means that transport planning has to implement an integrated passenger public system to achieve a meaningful solution to passenger transport requirements. Railways as a mass transport carrier have the opportunity to be the core of development of an integrated passenger public transport system because of its many advantages: (1) speed, (2) capacity, and (3) comfort. This paper will show how to plan an integrated passenger public transport system based on a Case Study in the northwest part of Croatia.
